Pair of gold plated stainless steel snake earrings depicting Glycon - Glycon was a Roman snake god worshiped during the 2nd century AD. According to the cult's mythology, the snake appeared after Greek prophet, Alexander of Abonoteichos, foretold the coming of a new incarnation of Asclepius.

As with previous Macedonian snake cults, the focus of worship at the temple was on fertility. Barren women would bring offerings to Glycon in hopes of becoming pregnant.

PRODUCT CARE

Mix two tablespoons of gentle dishwashing liquid with one quart of warm water. Submerge your jewellery in this solution for 10 to 20 minutes to loosen any residue and grime. Using a soft-bristled brush, delicately scrub the jewellery. Finally, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and gently pat dry using a clean cloth.
