Jormungandr the Middle-Earth Serpent Pendant

Handcrafted in Sweden using traditional Swedish artisan techniques, this pendant is a representation of Jörmungandr from Norse mythology. Jörmungandr, also known as the Midgard Serpent or World Serpent, is a large sea serpent or worm who dwells in the world sea encircling the Earth (Midgard).

Jormungandr is shown biting his own tail, an example of an ouroboros. When it releases its tail, Ragnarök (the final battle of the world) will begin. 

Each pendant is hand forged by a blacksmith so sizes may vary.

The pendant has a protective coating of linseed oil, however, try to avoid exposure to water and moisture. It is advisable to periodically reapply a protective layer of oil or wax.
